Day Two hundred and ninety-one

Dinner: Grilled cheese with cheddar and turkey bacon, on whole wheat, steamed carrots, and strawberries.  Eaten outside on the deck.  Nuff said.

Day One hundred and ninety-nine

Breakfast: Blueberry muffins (half whole wheat), with scrambled spinach cheese eggs (with egg whites), and cantaloupe.

Day One hundred and ninety-one

Strawberry-banana bread (whole wheat). I've made this before with blueberries or chocolate chips, but never strawberries. However, we had a carton getting soft, so I chopped and threw them in. The extra loaf will go in the freezer.



Broccoli and cheese quiche, in a whole wheat crust.



Brunch for dinner: Quiche, strawberry-banana bread, and fruit salad.

Day Fifty-one

Dinner: Cream cheese chicken (crockpot; Recipe: Make it Fast, Cook it Slow), with whole wheat rotini, steamed broccoli, and frozen peaches.

Day Fifty

Breakfast: Whole wheat pumpkin pancakes. Our Halloween morning tradition is pumpkin-shaped pumpkin pancakes, but when I mentioned to my younger daughter that I was making them, she said, "No, I want a witch." So we broke out the cookie cutters...

Day Thirty-one

Dinner: Turkey hot dogs, whole wheat rotini made into mac and cheese (with pureed cauliflower; recipe: Sneaky Chef), steamed edamame, and sliced apples. I will admit that this is the turkey hot dog that caused an adult tantrum. 'Nuff said.

Day Eight

Apparently taking pictures of our food has become a way of life around here. After dinner tonight, the girls were fooling around with the camera, and pretending to take pictures of imaginary dinners. Lol.

Dinner: Broccoli and cheese quiche in a whole wheat crust, whole wheat yogurt strawberry muffins, and cantaloupe.
